A Man is Action

A man is at his best when he is doing something worthwhile. A man often seems inscrutable, not because he has no emotions, but because emotions to him are only a means to an end. For a man, emotions must lead to action: anger to violence, attraction to romance, and hunger to production.

To best understand a man’s emotions, look at the actions they produced. Did he completely destroy something? Then he was angry. Did he do a great job producing something? Then he was hungry for success. Did he do everything he could to win the girl? Then he was attracted to her. For a man, an emotion that doesn’t lead to action is as useless as teats on a boar hog, or faith without works.

Of course, a man’s actions are not only a result of his emotions. They are guided also by the code of honor, ethics, or morality which he holds.
